‘What should I do?’ is a short story which I illustrated for ‘African Storybook’ a project which aims to provide access to picture books in Africa, including the library in the Diapalante educational centre, in Senegal. I have worked on illustrations for the project before, and was happy to be involved again with this new story.

The story follows fourteen year old Nafissatou, who is passionate about school, she struggles with a disability which affects her ability to make friends in the playground and in P.E lessons. During exam season, Nafissatou feels like she has lots of friends, as she helps out with tests and assessments.

The book will be both printed for the library and available on the African Storybook Website shortly!
